Senior Engineer – Experimental Hemodynamics

Role Overview:
As a Senior Engineer for Experimental Hemodynamics, you will be responsible for executing development testing with precision and efficiency. You will manage hemodynamics test planning, test setup, and fixture assembly, supporting transcatheter heart valve (THV) product development and R&D teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute experimental hemodynamics and optical flow visualization testing.
- Build and instrument test articles/fixtures.
- Coordinate parts manufacturing across internal/external suppliers.
- Author technical documents, including SOPs, protocols, and reports.
- Assemble instrumentation and connect to data acquisition systems.
- Ensure test quality, data integrity, and safety compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate degree (Thesis-based Master’s or PhD) in Engineering or Applied Physics (focus on Experimental Fluid Mechanics).
- Proven publication record in Experimental Fluid Mechanics (articles required for review).
- Hands-on experience
with:
- 2D2C Particle Image Velocimetry (LaVision DaVis) and MATLAB.
- SolidWorks for CAD modeling.
- Testing flow instabilities in closed fluid loops and physical assembly using hand/power tools.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in flow instability testing using particle image velocimetry.
- 2+ years of experience with instrument setup and data acquisition.
- Passion for cardiovascular fluid mechanics and structural heart hemodynamics.
Additional Details:
- No remote work or travel.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
