General Summary:
Seeking an experienced Medical Affairs Physician / Senior Medical Director within the Hematology Disease Area. This role will lead the execution of medical strategies for a CRISPR-Cas9-based therapy approved for treating Sickle Cell Disease and Transfusion-Dependent Beta-Thalassemia. Will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and integrating patient and medical community perspectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement medical affairs strategies, including Launch and Life Cycle Management plans.
- Analyze and interpret scientific data to determine its potential impact on clinical practice.
- Provide medical insights for clinical development and commercial strategies.
- Communicate scientific data through presentations, publications, and other forms of dissemination.
- Ensure country/regional insights are incorporated into global medical strategies.
- Contribute scientific expertise to global medical, commercial, regulatory, and reimbursement documents.
- Provide medical and scientific training to internal teams.
- Review investigator-sponsored study (ISS) proposals and other research grants.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of global medical, regulatory, and commercial environments.
- In-depth knowledge of government and industry guidelines for scientific/medical communication.
- Expertise in market access strategies in global markets.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to develop relationships with internal stakeholders and thought leaders.
- Strong conflict resolution and constructive dialogue skills.
Education and Experience:
- Medical degree with at least 8 years of experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals.
- Sub-specialty training in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology preferred; Marrow/Hematopoietic Transplant experience a plus.
- 8+ years in the industry, with 5+ years in Medical Affairs.
- Expertise in research data analysis, scientific publication, and clinical study design.
