Job Summary:
In this role, you will oversee day-to-day HR operations at a device manufacturing facility, working closely with site leadership to implement strategic HR initiatives. You will provide counsel on recruitment, compensation, benefits, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. This position requires strong collaboration with peers and senior leadership across various functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute HR strategies and talent initiatives to support organizational growth.
- Foster a positive work environment by maintaining a strong company culture and providing accessible, onsite HR support.
- Act as a key point of contact for employee relations, investigating concerns and driving resolutions that enhance workplace dynamics.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including interviewing, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
- Advise leadership on performance management, employee development, and workforce planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, staying current on evolving regulations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts on wage and hour matters, providing strategic input as needed.
- Utilize HR metrics to provide data-driven decision support.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 8+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of Minnesota state and federal labor laws.
- Experience managing HR processes for both exempt and non-exempt employee populations.
- Excellent interpersonal and consulting skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proven ability to lead investigations into workplace concerns and employee relations matters.
- Proficiency in HR systems, including Workday, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work onsite Monday – Thursday.
